Training:
"Your Say" are able to offer training to people with leaning disabilities and staff alike, and have a programme of joint or shared learning which we are developing.
In working with people with learning disabilities we can explore issues of self advocacy and especially work with groups who wish to achieve more recognition or respect for their work or activities.
We work with staff to explore how far they are able to advocate for others and the limitation of this.
We are also able to offer training in the history of and scope of advocacy for people with learning disabilities.
Our joint or paired learning approach is to work with the individual and their keyworker or support workers in order to have a shared learning experience and focuses largely on improving communication and choice making.
Training can be offered at the "Your Say"
offices or at the commissioners venue.
